Position     :  Purchasing Manager

Duration    :  Permanent, Full-time

Salary        :  £28,000.00-£32,000.00 P/A

Location   :  London

Rahim Brothers Limited is an east London based Cash & Carry with dedicated Retail & Wholesale departments. Our products are mainly for the Indo Asian ethnic market purchased from source via agents in UK. Due to our rapid growth we require goods to be purchased directly from source with no intermediary and due to the reason we are now recruiting an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our proactive dedicated team member. Purchase manager needs to be bilingual in English, Bengali, Hindi and Urdu and experienced in our market only.

Principal Responsibilities:


v  Ideally you would have experience of negotiating prices and reviewing suppliers’ contracts in order to drive down costs.


v  Negotiation with suppliers to obtain best value proposals.


v  Drive cost savings


v  Supplier relationship management


v  Liaison with group purchasing team to implement relevant contracts to the UK market


v  Develop and align category strategies in line with overall Company Strategy


v  Lead strategic sourcing reviews


v  Develop suppliers which can add value through continuous improvement and innovative salutation


v  Lead and manage internal and external communications with all stakeholders


v  Produce monthly reports to the appropriate management detailing purchasing activity, savings and status by product area.


Qualification, Skills and Experience:

v  Educational requirement is bachelor degree.

v  At least one year related section work experience

v  Dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative with fantastic communication skills

v  Able to work with fast paced environment

v  Knowledge of the commodities Market

v  Explore and locate the key manufactures and suppliers at each source for each commodity  

v  Besides English we consider as a favourable skill if you have sound language knowledge in Bengali, Hindi and Urdu.
